NDIS Psychology
Psychological session through National Disability Insurance Scheme
Service Description
Psychological services are available for individuals under the NDIS, whether through personally managed plans or plans managed by support coordinators. These services aim to support mental health and well-being, specifically under the capacity-building item "Improved Daily Living." Sessions provide evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to the unique needs of NDIS participants. Whether addressing individual mental health concerns, enhancing coping skills, or working on improving daily functioning, the focus is on building capacity for a better quality of life. Individuals, couples, or families can work on issues such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and communication challenges within a structured and supportive environment. Participants with personally managed plans have the flexibility to choose services directly, while those with support coordinators managing their plans can easily integrate these psychological services into their NDIS supports. Each session is designed to promote personal growth, build resilience, and help individuals navigate their daily challenges with greater confidence and independence. The capacity-building focus ensures that participants are not only supported in their immediate mental health needs but are also equipped with long-term strategies to improve their daily living and overall mental health outcomes. Whether through in-person sessions or telehealth options, these services prioritize flexibility, accessibility, and effective care within the NDIS framework.
